HYPNOSIS 1.5 Hours

Hypnotherapy is the practice of allowing your subconscious mind to empower itself to make changes in your life. This is done in a deeply relaxed state, sometimes referred to as a trance-like condition with the assistance of a trained hypnotherapist. In this state, the chatter of your conscious mind is diminished so that your subconscious mind becomes the active mind. Bypassing the critical access of the mind. Allowing you to make changes.

In three weeks, I’ve learned and changed so much on this potteresque mind-body journey. Information and demonstration are always spot on. My goals are acknowledged and addressed. June and Sheila are consummate professionals. June’s enthusiasm and nutrition advice for a healthy eating lifestyle have energized my day to day. Sheila’s personally tailored self hypnosis sessions reach into my mind and give me peace.

I’m looking forward to the next session of this wellness program.

*I have to say that prior to the first of the 4 sessions I was extremely skeptical of yet another weight loss program and more specifically hypnosis in general. Mind you I had no prior experience of any kind with hypnosis but a lifetime various weight loss attempts.

The sessions with June & Sheila are a combination of group discussion on nutrition and food education & approximately 1 hour of hypnosis. Sheila incorporated suggestions during the hypnosis that were based on our input. For example, I shared that I always felt I needed something sweet at night after dinner and that I tended graze in the kitchen while preparing meals – usually on taco chips.  After the first session I completely stopped eating at night, still haven’t had any bread or taco ships and not a single piece of candy since before Halloween! This change in behavior was huge for me. Simple changes NOT deprivation make a big difference in how you look and feel.

In our discussions we learned about the effects of sugar, caffeine, dairy, carbohydrates when combined with protein. June shared recipes, dietary options, delicious samples and much, much more. These few simple behavior changes have resulted in 12 “pain free” lost pounds (so far), a more educated approach to grocery shopping, and significantly improved self esteem.

I am so glad I participated in the program and highly recommend it!

1. Stuck in Hypnosis: You are never stuck in Hypnosis. You are always safe and in control of how you are feeling. It feels like you will be deeply relaxed.

2. The hypnotist will control my mind. This is not true. Hypnosis will never control your mind. You are always in control.  And you are safe at all times.

3. Sharing of Secrets: You will never reveal to me your secrets. Only time you would tell me something is if you allow yourself to share with me.

Education and Training: Sheila Berger was trained in hypnosis at both NGH approved training courses and at other sponsored training courses and seminars. I am a Certified Member of the National Guild of Hypnotists and I do annual continuing education to maintain my training at a high level.
